National Handling Services (“NHS”) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a well-established and prominent Ground Handling and Dry Port Company. The position requires a strong leader with experience in the aviation industry to guide the company’s growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing strategies to consolidate market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Strategic Leadership: Leading and guiding the company’s strategic direction, operations & growth across its diverse business segments.
– Operational Oversight: Monitoring and ensuring the smooth functioning of NHS operations, including ground handling, cargo, business class lounges & dry ports.
– Financial Management: Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability & profitability.
– Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airlines, airports & other industry partners.
– Talent Management: Recruiting, developing & retaining a skilled workforce to support NHS operations.
– Innovation & Technology: Staying abreast of industry trends & implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency & customer experience.
– Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Providing direction & coordination of the activities of NHS through policies & procedures formulation to meet international & local regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

– A relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
– An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
– At least 10 years of experience in the Ground Handling/Aviation industry or related field, 5 of which should have been at Senior Management level.
– Sound experience and/or appreciation of ground handling, marketing & financial management.
– Excellent analytical, interpersonal & communication skills.
– Conversant with IATA operations.
– Must be conversant with Civil Aviation Authority – Zimbabwe, NSSA Safety Standards Board, IOSA & ISAGO standards.
