Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and self-motivated individuals who are prepared to work under pressure with minimum supervision to fill the vacant posts that have arisen within Mazowe Rural District Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Follow up on debtor accounts to find unpaid debts.
•Perform billing and collection of council debts.
•Prepare and submit reports on the status of debts that have been collected and those outstanding.
•Prepare and submit monthly debtors returns.
•Ensure that all revenue is banked intact and promptly.
•Keep accurate records of all collections for future analysis and audit purposes.
•Prepare and submit monthly debtors returns.
•Attend to customer queries and resolve them speedily using high levels of customer care.
•Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
•5 ‘O’ Levels (including English Language and Mathematics).
•A Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance or any Accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
•At least 1 year in a similar environment will be an added advantage.
•Good IT/Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Good interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
•Clean Class Four (4) Drivers Licence is a must.
