Job Title: Director of Procurement
Duty Station: Head Office
Reports to : Secretary
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives and goals.
2. Lead and manage the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
3. Oversee the sourcing and selection of suppliers, ensuring that we establish beneficial agreements and maintain strong relationships.
4. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
5. Collaborate with other departments to identify procurement needs and support overall business strategies.
6. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and best practices.
7. Analyze procurement data to drive decision-making and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
8. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms for the organisations.
9. Lead initiatives focused on sustainability and responsible sourcing.
10. Oversee and facilitate the tender process
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or any related field is required.
• MCIPS qualification is required
• Proven experience of 10 years of Procurement role within the Public Sector with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

1. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
2. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
3. Proficiency in Public sector procurement processes
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
