The Opportunity

In its pursuit of consolidating its market share in Africa and expansion
strategy, and following its strategic repositioning, ESAMI seeks a suitably
qualified and experienced person to fill the vacancy of the Country Manager,
Zimbabwe. The Country Manager position is a dual role that is strategic and
operationally bridges the gap between product development, promotion and delivery.
The position will be based in Harare, with scheduled travels to other markets to
shovel up marketing efforts and consultative meetings that may be held at
ESAMI Headquarters in Arusha or any other location as determined by Executive Management.
The job holder is responsible for developing and executing ESAMI’s marketing
strategies, initiatives, and business
development efforts within Zimbabwe. The job holder will drive ESAMI brand
awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
The Country Manager will drive market
penetration, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build strong
relationships with key stakeholders. The job holder will analyze market trends,
assessing emerging areas that require training interventions, develop training
program and materials, delivery, and administration of training. The incumbent
will be involved in the preparation of teaching materials, delivery of academic
courses, invigilation of examinations, student thesis supervision; research, writing technical
and financial proposals and participating in consultancy assignments. This position also
involves overseeing the daily operations at the Country level.
The position reports to the Director Marketing and Business Development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Business Development
Develop and implement a country-specific marketing strategy/plans aligned with the
Institute’s overall strategy.
• Feed into the overall global marketing strategy for ESAMI
• Develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that align
with ESAMI’s mission and contribute to its growth.
Drive digital marketing efforts, including, email marketing, online and print media
and development of products tailored to the needs of specific clients.
Brand Management
Manage ESAMI’s brand presence and reputation in the Country.
Manage brand consistency across all marketing communications and touchpoints, including
advertising, promotions, and digital platforms.
• Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns and initiatives
Customer Relationship Management,
Partnerships &
Representation
Build and maintain strong relationships with ESAMI clients and key stakeholders through
understanding of their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with
the Institute’s products and services.
Identify and analyse client needs, preferences, and goals to tailor solutions and deliver
personalized products service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with ESAMI
Country Operations and Performance Management
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of ESAMl’s programs and services in the country, ensuring
efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the country office’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial forecasting,
debt collection and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to ESAMI’s financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee the delivery of Business School Programs at the Country level.
• Coordinate with consulting teams in the Country during assignments
• Prepare marketing and business development reports as guided by the Director of
Marketing and Business Development
Management Training, Research and Consultancy
• Deliver customized executive courses, workshops at the office and in-country
• Provide support in developing programmes aligned with market, sectoral and national demands and needs.
• Complement ESAMI capacity in delivering programmes, conducting research and consultancy assignments
Support curriculum development and evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Facilitate logistical support for consulting and research teams engaged in assignments within the Country.
• Represent SAMI and present papers in academic foras in Zimbabwe to enhance visibility
Entry Qualifications
Masters degree in marketing or related field with eight (8) years of relevant
experience with at least three (3) years in a managerial position. Relevant professional
qualifications in marketing or in any other related field and membership in relevant
professional bodies. A doctorate degree will be an added advantage.
