Position Summary

The Gardener will be responsible for the maintenance and beautification of the school’s grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for children, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, physically fit, and capable of maintaining high horticultural standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain school gardens and surrounding grounds to ensure a tidy and attractive appearance.

• Water lawns and flowerbeds, remove weeds, trim hedges, and cut grass regularly.

• Plant and care for shrubs, trees, and flowers.

• Collect and dispose of waste matter and garden debris appropriately.

• Maintain garden tools and report equipment faults.

• Clean drainage lines and ensure safe pathways and open spaces.

• Assist with other maintenance-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least five Ordinary Level passes, including English.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in groundskeeping or gardening, preferably in an educational or child-friendly setting.
