VACANCY –
ROLE PROFILE
AFC Insurance Company, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit a competent Credit Controller to be based at our Head Office, Harare. Reporting to the Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for all credit management duties as may be delegated by the Company from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities
Matching policies and receipts in the Imprexxion Footprint Insurance System.
Preparing aged debtor analysis.
4 Premium collections from Brokers and Agents, Co-Insurers, Tobacco Contractors and Bancassurance Partners.
c Following up and matching claim recoveries.
4 Managing the stop order facility for Farmers to ensure maximum collection.
Weekly and monthly reconciliations.
Ensuring compliance with the ‘No premium No cover’ policy.
4 Preparing weekly update reports for Management.
Performing other credit control administrative tasks.
Handing over defaulters to the Legal practitioners.
4 Collaborating with the Underwriting and Claims departments in rectifying discrepancies.
4 Assisting the Chief Finance Officer to identify areas of improvement in the process flow and recommending action to be taken.
4 Managing and building relationships with Agents, Brokers, Bancassurance Partners, Reinsurers and other key Stakeholders.
4 Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, CIS, ICM, or CIMA will be an added advantage.
e Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use reasonable and sound judgement.
4 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
