Job Description

Kamativi Mining Company seeking a skilled and reliable Control Room Operator to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the electrical systems within our control room, ensuring the smooth flow and efficient operation of our Substations. You will be the first point of contact for electrical issues, diagnosis of problems, and coordinating with field technicians to resolve them.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Monitor electrical systems and equipment in the control room.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and failures.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with field technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of system performance and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in a control room environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems quickly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Formal electrical qualifications (National Diploma, Trade Certificate, Switching licence
