Job Description
The Driver’s main responsibility is to safely transport either cargo or passengers from one location to another. They must follow traffic laws and correctly route themselves, ensuring that there is enough fuel in the tank at all times for their destination.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operating organisation’s vehicles as assigned.
Ensuring timeous servicing of the organisation’s vehicles.
Keeping the vehicles clean and properly maintained by performing regular checks, maintenance and cleaning.
Reporting any defects or need for repairs.
Checking vehicle conditions after each trip/ routinely- report problems. Carrying out other errands and administrative duties as directed.
Qualifications and Experience
Valid Driver’s Licence and experience driving 4×4 vehicles.
Valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
A medical report.
5 Basic O’ Levels.
Must respect and adhere to all safety and traffic rules.
Good written and spoken English.
At least 30 years of age.
At least 3 years of experience with 2 references and 1 written recommendation letter.
