Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the above-named position that has arisen in the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division. FBC Bank.
Principal Accountabilities
Analysing deposit trends and market data to identify new opportunities and risks in order to set and achieve deposit growth targets.
- Negotiating and structuring high-value deposit deals with Agribusiness clients.
- Maintaining and growing customer relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities.
Providing value-adding solutions to customers’ financial needs by conducting regular farm/project/customer visits and keeping abreast of developments in various markets and industries.
- Marketing the Agribusiness products and cross-selling to potential customers.
- Conducting a risk analysis on all credit applications and providing relevant recommendations in support or otherwise.
Ensuring that all credit facilities made available to the Bank’s clients are sound.
Performing periodic financial analysis on customers’ businesses and assessments of business and management Monitoring account performance and facility utilization and producing routine reports required by the Bank.
- Attending to client concerns and providing recommendations on the action required.
Ensuring compliance with covenants and terms of approval: credit policy; standing instructions and regulatory requirements through regular monitoring and reporting procedures.
- Improving the credit grade profile of all lending portfolio through regular, intelligent monitoring.
Ensuring that all securities and facility letters are lodged with the Group Credit Management Division within the prescribed time frames.
Education And Experience
- A degree in Agriculture. Agriculture Economics, Banking & Finance. Economics. Business Studies or related.
- A post-graduate qualification such as an MBA
Diploma in Agriculture is an added advantage
At least 5 years’ working experience in Agribusiness or a Corporate Banking environment
Competence And Skills
An in-depth knowledge of advanced lending techniques, cash management and the Bank’s policies and procedures.
Good understanding of the Bank’s full range of products including structured finance and syndication deals.
- Appreciation of technology development, treasury products and marketing principles and practices.
- Expertise in credit restructuring, evaluation, pricing and presentation.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions
