Job Summary
Cimas Health Group’s purpose is to inspire healthier communities. In pursuant to this purpose, Cimas is searching for a discerning Team Lead – Nurses and Reception to join the Group and supervise nurses and reception staff, oversee the registration and collection of pathological samples from patients in line with ISO 15189 and Cimas Standard Operating Procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Planning and reviewing operations in the nurses and reception department.
• Monitoring registration of samples to ensure accuracy of information to reduce deletions, claim rejections and refunds.
• Monitoring claim submission reports and ensures that all rejected or unpaid claims are resolved timeously.
• Monitoring patient safety during sample collections and reports incidents or risks.
• Monitoring pre-analytical turnaround times, develops and implements corrective actions on processes that are failing to meet turnaround times.
• Ensuring
delivery of samples to various departments in line with test requests, sample
transportation requirements and turnaround times.
• Ensuring staff are knowledgeable about MEDLABS and Medical Aid products, trained competent in the procedures they perform.
• Monitoring ambience of MEDLABS Harare reception and enforcing queue management system.
• Preparing monthly staff duty roasters for Nurses and Reception staff.
• Ensuring Nurses have valid practising certificates.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business management.
• Clinical qualification (Nursing, Laboratory Sciences or Similar).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pathology testing environment.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to formulate and execute actionable plans to achieve set goals and objectives. The ability to use Lab Management Information Systems, analyse and solve work related problems to achieve correct outcomes
