Job Description
Under the general direction of the Loss Control Manager, the Loss Control Investigator shall be responsible for carrying out enterprise-wide investigative findings into allegations of all forms of crime, fraud, irregular business and employee conduct. This will be achieved through a systematic disciplined and objective approach to investigation, remediation, dispute resolution and recovery of losses incurred by the organization in line with policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct investigations on assigned cases of all allegations and all forms of crime including fraud, theft, bribery, corruption, regulatory breaches and internal policy violations within and against the organisation by both internal and external parties.
• Assist in carrying out investigations for all cases involving employees at all levels and handle criminal related cases to the ZRP on time.
• Checks on enforcement of controls in the organization.
• Managing cases under investigation until they are resolved.
• Conduct interviews and investigative research on suspects and witnesses as required by the matter at hand while documenting all work undertaken.
• Present investigative facts, circumstances and conclusions in a concise, clear and logical manner in the form of investigative reports.
Qualifications and Experience
• A Degree or Diploma in Security Management/Loss Prevention/Police Studies or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of Private Sector security operations is an added advantage.
• Ability to handle fraud, related investigations and court attendance.
• Ability to handle confidential information and investigations.
• To perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.
