CERTIFICATION COURSE

Applications are invited for admission into the Data Protection Officer Training programme at the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT). The objective of the course, which is being administered in conjunction with Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), is to equip data protection practitioners in Zimbabwe with the relevant knowledge and skills for the implementation of the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]. The course is a prerequisite for certification and registration as a Data Protection Officer in Zimbabwe. Professionals who desire to understand the data protection ecosystem and laws in Zimbabwe may also enrol for the course.
Applicants must hold at least a 1st degree in any relevant field. For special entry, the applicant must hold at least 5 ‘O’ level passes including English language plus at least 2 ‘A’ level passes or a diploma with at least 2 years experience in a relevant field.
