Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Game Ranger/Scout to join our team at a small game park located on our farm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the protection, management, and conservation of our wildlife and natural resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Protect and manage the game park and its wildlife
• Conduct anti-poaching patrols and monitor game movements
• Enforce conservation rules and regulations
• Assist in game research and species monitoring
• Maintain good relationships with neighbouring communities
• Participate in conservation projects and habitat management
• Provide support for guided tours when necessary
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:
• Practical knowledge and love for nature
• Good physical fitness and health
• Ability to use a firearm will be an added advantage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups
• Knowledge of conservation legislation and local languages
