Chinhoyi University of Technology Council is inviting suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the following senior positions that have arisen in the University:

Person Specifications
⦁ Applicants must have at least a first degree and a Master’s degree in Supply Chain or any other related field.
⦁ A professional qualification will be a distinct advantage.
⦁ Five (5) or more years of procurement experience in a medium to large organization with at least two (2) years at management level.
⦁ Excellent communication skills across both internal and external stakeholders and astute leadership skills and ability to operate independently under pressure, and incisive delegation skills.

Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Procurement Manager shall have the following key accountabilities:
•Managing the University’s procurement processes and systems in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act (Chapter 22:23).
⦁ Providing leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of the University’s procurement processes;
⦁ Ensuring value for money, fairness, transparency and accountability in the University’s procurement processes;
⦁ Developing the University’s Procurement Plan and compile reports;
⦁ Ensuring the University’s compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Chapter 22:23) as guided by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe;
⦁ Managing the bidding process including the evaluation of bids;
⦁ Any other related duties that may be assigned by the Vice-Chancellor from time to time.
