A reputable organization in Harare is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Public Relations Officer. The Public Relations Officer provides, assistance in support of enhancing effective internal and external communication including promotional activities and coordination functions.
The job includes:
⦁ Monitoring the media, public opinion and compiling a file of articles and clips related to the organization
⦁ Developing media strategies and coordinating responses to all public information requests for the purpose of ensuring effective communication practices in compliance with the organisation’s strategic goals
⦁ Developing strategic messages targeting key stakeholders and its dissemination using appropriate communication tools
⦁ Managing and updating the corporate website and all social media platforms used by the organization (Facebook, X, YouTube, WhatsApp and Short Message Service)
⦁ Planning, carrying out and coordination of all public relations campaigns, exhibitions, conferences, workshops and corporate social responsibility event for the organisation.
⦁ Performing client relationship liaison
⦁ Managing client services programs, feedback systems and documentaries
⦁ Carrying out any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the General Manager or his/her appointee from time to time

Person specifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience
⦁ A minimum of a Degree in Public Relations, Media Studies, Journalism, Communication and other related field
⦁ Having a relevant experience will be an added advantage
⦁ Ability to develop, implement and evaluate public relations goals, work under pressure to meet deadlines, establish priorities, organize and handle a variety of projects simultaneously.
⦁ Able to operate and use photographic equipment, communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills and maintain cooperative working relationships
