Duties and Responsibilities:
The job exists to assist the Canteen Chef in the preparation of all canteen meals.
⦁ Principal Accountabilities: (Duties & Responsibilities)
⦁ a) Setting up, cleaning, and organizing the kitchen and the canteen
⦁ b) Preparing ingredients i.e. washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
⦁ c) Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift
⦁ d) Preparing food according to food health and safety standards
⦁ e) Recommending ideas for specials to the Canteen Chef
⦁ f) Sanitizing and cleaning Workstations and utensils
⦁ g) Performs any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualificationsand Experience
⦁ Five ‘O’ Levels
⦁ Trade qualification in culinary arts or equivalent is a must.
⦁ At least 1 year’s experience in bulk food preparation and serving food to large groups of people is a must
⦁ Certificate of medical fitness to handle food
