VACANCY NOTICE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-driven and results oriented individuals, to fill the following position that have arisen within Zvimba Rural District Council:
Grade: 10
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications & Attributes
1. A Degree in Administration, Local Governance or Social Science from a recognized University
2. A relevant Masters is an added advantage.
3. At least four years relevant post qualification experience in middle or senior management in a local authority or Local government environment.
4. Clean class 4 driver’s license is a MUST.
5. Must be at least 30 years old.
6. Acitizen of Zimbabwe.
7. Aclean criminal record.
8. Aclean record of service within the local government fraternity.
9. Local authority experience is an added advantage.
10. Membership of recognized professional body is an added advantage.

Duties
1. Provision of Sound Social Services & Amenities in the District.
2. Supervise operations of Council Schools and Clinics within Zvimba District.
3. Management of urban and communal land in council area.
4. Management of the district housing Sector.
5. Coordinate disaster management activities within the district in liaison with District Civil Protection Unit.
6. Co-ordinate Water, Sanitation and Hygiene activities in the district in liaison with Engineering Department.
7. Co-ordinate NGOs activities in Council area of jurisdiction.
8. Townships Management.
9. Maintains and repairing of council buildings.
10. Servicing Council Housing, Social Services & Gender Committee.
11. Departmental budget preparation, monitoring, and implementation.
12. Formulation, Review and implementation of Departmental policies and procedures manuals.
13. Any other duties as assigned.
