The Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare in collaboration with a Development Partner Bantwana Zimbabwe invites suitably qualified professionals for the posts of 5 X Case Management Assistants within the Ministry in the following districts: Fort Street, Lupane, Gwanda, Insiza and Kwekwe.
Case Management Assistants

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to and supervised by the District Social Development Officer, the key responsibilities of the Case Management Assistant are as follows:

Champion the implementation of an HIV-sensitive case management system.
Provide direct counselling and therapeutic support to children who are affected and infected by HIV including their families.

Ensure quality child protection services are provided and minimum standards are maintained.
Work with the District Social Development Officer in completing follow-ups on reports received of child abuse, children in distress and children with acute health issues.
Work jointly with other stakeholders in the field of children’s services, making receiving and following up on referrals including referral closure.
Assessments, developing and updating care plans for OVC and caregivers. Case conference for OVC with multiple
computing compounding vulnerable to access holistic services.
Analyze and monitor child protection trends in the district and advise appropriately for timely interventions.
Conduct quarterly adult and child-led Child Protection Committees (CPC) at ward and district levels including school-based CPC.

Quarterly supervision and mentorship of Community Child Care Workers though bi- monthly meetings and onsite support.
Assist child welfare cases such as birth registration, access to education though BEAM and Assisted Medical Treatment Order.
Conduct quarterly activities focused on drug and substance abuse informed by Inter-ministerial Committee on Drug and Substance abuse pillar on Community Reintegration.
Maintain and update district stakeholder directory for child protection and welfare services.
Reports to District Social Development Officer and follow the reporting channel informed by Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor of Social Work Honours Degree.
Registration with the Council of Social Workers is an added advantage.
Computer literacy and expertise in Microsoft packages
Ability to interact with communities and stakeholders in the district.
Knowledge of and fluency in local language spoken in the district applied for is must.
