VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and task-oriented persons to fill the following positions that have arisen in Council;

TOWN ENGINEER – GRADE 15 (REPORTING TO THE TOWN SECRETARY)
Minimum Qualifications
BSC degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering Degree or any relevant engineering degree from a reputable university.
AMaster’s Degree in Administration, Public Management, Strategic Management, Project Management of Governance will be an added advantage.
Membership to a professional body is a must.
A minimum of 5 years post qualification managerial experience, with not less than 3 years at senior level preferably in a local authority or public enterprise environment.
A results oriented person with high need to achieve and contribute to the development target of Chipinge Town.
Experience in managing consultants and contractors.
Proven experience in preparation of terms of reference, tender documents and evaluation of the same.
Excellent knowledge of civil and structural engineering softwares.
Knowledge of Program based budgeting.
Knowledge of servicing Council and committee meetings.
Mature communicator with good interpersonal skills, able to interact at all levels and produce analytical management reports. Astrategic thinker capable of long term planning and effective problem solving. Ateam playerwith demonstrable leadership with innovation qualities.
Computer literate and should have a clean Class 4 driver’s licence and preferably a valid defensive driving certificate.
Acitizen of Zimbabwe
A least 30 years old
Clean criminal record
