Qualifications and Experience

Artisan Class 1 Auto Electrician
At least 2 years experience as an auto-electrician
Experience in a tertiary institution would be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

Carrying out electronic diagnosis before proposing corrective action, repairs and maintenance for all University fleet, generators and other machines.
Maintenance and repairs on fuel injections and electronic systems, generators and ancillary equipment.
Care and operation of equipment used for diagnostics and testing.
Servicing, replacing and repairing faulty motors, wiring systems, alternators and other electronic automotive parts.
Sourcing and recommending the purchase of suitable spares.
Maintaining relevant records for the running and maintenance of all vehicles and and small engines machines.
Contributing to the success of the Central Services and Amenities Department by performing all other essential duties as assigned
