Post C: Artisan Supervisor for Infrastructure Maintenance (Harare and Zvishavane Campus)

Qualifications and Experience

Class One Journeyman in any of the following disciplines (Plumbing, Building. Electrician, Welding, Carpentry, Painting )
At least 7 years working experience in infrastructure maintenance
Experience in a tertiary institution would be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

Allocating duties to Artisans in the Maintenance Section.
Producing weekly and monthly reports of maintenance works.
Raising material requisitions for approval to carry out construction and maintenance works.
Carrying out comprehensive maintenance requirements/assessments for University buildings and infrastructure.
Assisting the Deputy Director (Maintenance) to prepare a face lifting and renovation plan for existing University buildings and infrastructure.
Assisting the Deputy Director (Maintenance)in the compilation of budgets for Maintenance activities before the beginning of each semester or year.
Supervising Artisans and subcontractors working on various maintenance works for the University.
Submission of weekly and monthly performance review reports.
Contributing to the success of the Central Services and Amenities Department by performing all other essential duties as assigned
