Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Driver x 5 (Nec grade 7) that has risen in our organization. The position is based in Harare. The successful applicants will be reporting to the Fleet supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following.

1. Undertake local and intercity deliveries ensuring good hygiene and product quality standards are maintained.
2. Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
3. Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance such as routine battery, oil and water check and the general cleanliness of the vehicle.
4. Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes always.
5. Safeguard load to ensure Assist to load and offload goods from vehicles and ensure they are placed in the correct locations.
6. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy during deliveries and collection of goods or material.
7. Maintain pre-start and post trip records and ensure they are up to date always.

Qualifications and Experience

1. 5 “O’ Levels including English and Mathematics.
2. Clean class 2 driver’s license.
3. Valid medical certificate.
4. Valid retest.
5. 2-3 years working experience.

3. Must be self-motivated and be able to work in a team.
4. Must be security conscious, sober habits and able to work with minimum supervision.
