HEAD CORPORATE AFFAIRS AND COMMUNICATION
We have been retained by Mutapa Investment Fund to facilitate the recruitment and selection of self-driven and competent personnel to fill the vacant position of Head Corporate Affairs and Communication that has arisen within their organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensures the intranet is maintained as a central repository of information and assure basic internal trainings are in place.
• Ensures that the Managing Board and Country Directors receive legal advice on risks and opportunities concerning corporate legal issues, including registration and tax issues, in the countries SNV operates in.
• Assists executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
• Oversees the Fund’s brand image, positioning, develops brand guidelines, standards, and monitors brand representation across all channels.
• Identifies key stakeholders and their interests and develops strategies for engaging different stakeholder groups.
• Provides suggestions concerning graphics, clarity, distribution, and press releases to Finance and Accounting departments for preparation of the corporation’s annual report.
• Establishes relationships with media outlets, journalists and coordinates media interviews and press conferences.
• Maintains and communicates policy coherence whereas ownership and accountability of individual policies is with the relevant global heads.
• Strategizes and implements corporate social responsibility initiatives and monitors the impact of CSR initiatives and ensures CSR initiatives align with the Fund’s values and objectives.
• Develops internal communication strategies, communicates organizational updates to staff and facilitates internal communication channels.
• Ensures corporate compliance processes and externally demanded organizational assessments are carried out in a timely manner.
• Coordinates the Fund’s response during crises, monitors crisis situations and adjusts strategies as needed and trains staff on crisis communication procedures.

JOB RELATED ATTRIBUTES
The ideal incumbent must possess the following minimum qualifications, competences, and experience:
• First Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Master’s degree Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
• Professional Qualifications: Membership in a recognized professional body such as the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) or similar.
• Proven track record with over 7 years in Corporate Affairs leadership positions of which at least 7 years in managing professional teams in a culturally diverse, international setting.
• Solid management experience in external and internal communications.
• Solid experience in complex governance and planning processes.
• Knowledge of, and reliable judgment on, corporate compliance, internal control, and audit processes.
