The Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare invites applications to fill 764 x Social Work Graduate Interns posts in 56 District Offices in eight (8) Provinces. The job involves travelling widely within the District.

Job Title: Social Work Graduate Intern
Reports to: Districts Heads
Stations: 56 District Social Development Offices (Chimanimani, Chipinge, Makoni, Mutare, Mutasa.Nyanga, Bindura,
Muzarabani, Guruve, Mazowe, Mt. Darwin, Rushinga, Shamva, Mbire, Chikomba, Goromonzi, Hwedza. Marondera, Mudzi, Murewa, Mutoko, Seke, Uzumba Maramba-Pfungwe (UMP), Chegutu, Hurungwe, Kariba, Makonde, Zvimba, Mhondoro-Ngezi, Sanyati, Bikita, Chiredzi, Gutu, Masvingo, Zaka, Binga, Bubi, Hwange, Lupane, Nkayi, Umguza, Tsholotsho, Beitbrigde, Bulilima, Gwanda, Insiza, Matobo.Umzingwane, Chirumhanzu, Gokwe North, Gokwe South, Gweru and Kwekwe, Mberengwa, Shurugwi, Zvishavane).

Terms of Employment:
* One month contract with potential for renewal subject to good performance and availability of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Data collection under the Food Deficit Mitigation Strategy
* Data capturing at District level for registered beneficiaries
* Compilation of returns
* Any other duties assigned by the Provincial and District Heads from time to time.
Competences and Skills
* Bachelor of Social Science Degree preferably Social Work, Sociology, Psychology and Development Studies
* Computer literacy and expertise in Microsoft packages
* Ability to interact with communities and stakeholders in the District
* Fluency in English would be an added advantage
* Knowledge of and fluency in local language/s spoken in the area/district applied for is a must
* Previous experience in social protection data collection/enumeration is an added advantage.
