SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER for a Harare-based company in the ICT industry:

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Software Development or equivalent. Software Development JAVA, C#,VB.Net). Added advantage in Certifications (IBM,Oracle, MuleSoft,NGINX, Application Servers), Project Management experience.

Duties and responsibilities

a) Initiating, investigating, and implementing Software development formulations, process improvements, and cost-saving projects in both software development as well as quality improvement of products and processes.
b) Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for the existing code base and for new functionality under development.
c)Developing project plans for all application development projects.
d)Developing tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code, and automating tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
e) Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products, document development phases, and monitoring systems.
f) Developing and conducting proof of concepts, demos, and prototypes on software solutions.
g) Working with key Account Managers, HODs, and Software Managers on the development of Technical Specifications for Tenders and RFPs.
h) Mentoring staff to increase their technical knowledge.
i)managing subordinates.

REQUIREMENTS

3 years experience as Senior Developer.
At least 2 projects commissioned and role as subject matter expert.
