Our client with mining activities in Zimbabwe, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Shared Services Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate would report directly to the General Manager with the heads of the HR, Security, Stores, Procurement, Accounts, and IT departments reporting to him/her. His/her position would be to provide leadership to the support services and support the general manager as directed and ensure set targets are achieved for the departments reporting to him/her.

Responsibilities

Supply chain management – procurement strategies, supply management (including critical consumables and spares), and stores strategies including inventory management and the implementation of a stores management system.
Finances – Guide operation budgeting process, operational costs analysis and reporting and support the asset management and capitalization.
Human Resources Management – in coordination with the group HR Manager, assist in the day-to-day administration of the HR department at the mine to ensure human resources policies are implemented.
Site Facilities management – support the management of facilities and supplies, ensuring the well-being of on-site employees, and ensure transport is available for employees to and from workstations.
ICT Services – support the installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure for operations.
Site Security – Coordinate with Security manager to ensure the provision of adequate security services for all operations at the mine.
Corporate Social Responsibility – Provide leadership in the development of a CSR strategy for the Mine. Evaluate the impact of CSR programmes on changing the communities surrounding the mine in sustainable ways.

Requirements

A degree in Finance, Accounts or Business Management is essential.
Postgraduate MBL would be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ industry experience with a good understanding of support services within the mining industry.
Minimum of 5 years’ at a Senior Mine Management Level would be preferred.
