Description :
The Diagnostic Imaging Centre is looking for a suitably qualified individual to fill in the position of nurse receptionist.
Purpose of Position
To provide professional nursing and reception skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for assigned patients.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of information and records
Monitors vital signs
Administers medication (sedation, analgesia, etc)
Prepares patients for examinations e.g. coronary
Performs cannulation
Assists in procedures, setting up, monitoring, and maintaining sterility
Helps with infection control
Ensures that patients’ insurance is properly vetted for validity including any information necessary for claim processing
Plus reception duties except assisting medical secretaries and billing.
Experience
Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role
Qualifications
Diploma in General Nursing
Attributes
Must have good communication skills
Must have good interpersonal skills
Must be a good team player
Must be able to work under minimal supervision
Must have clinical skills
