DUTIES
Coordinating collection of Council Revenue
Supervising Revenue Clerks, Billing Clerks and Bookkeepers
Updating debtor’s register and follow-ups
Processing legal follow-ups on debtors
Ensure voices are generated monthly and when necessary
Creation of new avenues/sources of revenue
Improvise revenue maximization methods
Preparation of Financial Accounts for external audit
Assist in budget preparation
Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal control systems of the council
Prepare financial reports for intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer (Devolution) and other grants
Monitoring financial security records on a quarterly basis
REQUIREMENTS
BSc Honours Accounting Degree or equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution
Studying toward a Masters Degree or any professional course is an added advantage
Higher National Diploma in Accounting an added advantage
5 years and above experience in a related position in a Rural District Council
Clean Drivers License
Minimum 28 years
