Karo Platinum Private limited, is establishing a large-scale vertically integrated Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) mining and value addition complex, located in the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe. The project is based on proven technologies and industry best practices.
LABORATORY MANAGER

Duties and Responsibilities

⦁ Setting up the laboratory layout.
⦁ Preparing laboratory operational and capex budgets.
⦁ Developing, modifying and validating PGMs analytical methods using both classical and instrumental techniques.
⦁ Formulating and reviewing the Laboratory Quality Assurance system.
⦁ Coordinating, managing, and implementing key QMS clauses to maximize the technical competence of the laboratory.
⦁ Ensuring maintenance of laboratory instrumentation according to established guidelines.
⦁ Planning and directing internal audit functions for the Laboratory.
⦁ Ensuring adherence to laboratory safety standards and procedures
⦁ Traininganddevelopmentof laboratory personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

⦁ Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry
⦁ 10 years of laboratory experience
⦁ Sound Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025,9001 and 14001 standards
⦁ Working knowledge of ICP, XRF,AA.
⦁ Working knowledge of PGM and Base metals analyses is required.
⦁ Labware and LIMS experience will be an added advantage.
