FINANCE MANAGER
The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, mature, honest, and substantially experienced persons for appointment to the above challenging position which has arisen in the Organisation. The applicant will be based at Head Office in Harare.

RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Preparing the Authority’s consolidated financial statements in line with the generally accepted accounting practice and forwards.
ii. Reviewing management accounts to ensure accuracy and correct representation of the Authority’s financial performance.
iii. Managing the working capital position of the Authority to ensure that it is sound at all times.
iv. Designing systems of internal control in liaison with the Finance Director to ensure compliance and uniformity of finance procedures.
v. Managing debtors within acceptable trading terms.
vi. Ensuring the effective running of the day-to-day financial operations in line with financial policies and procedures.
vii. Overseeing the overall corporate budgeting preparation, financial management, and financial monitoring processes.
viii. Generating financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
ix. Monitoring and managing all expenses within the allotted budgets.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

i. Degree in Accounting or equivalent
ii. Chartered Accountant
iii. Professional Qualification such as ACCA or CIS is an added advantage
iv. A minimum of five years post-qualifying experience
v. Good interpersonal and leadership skills
