Assistant Maintenance Officer – Harare

Job Purpose

The position exists for delivery of responsive and cyclical maintenance, inspections, contract, and compliance services of the Fund’s properties to ensure that they are maintained to a good standard.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting maintenance works with respect to elevators, electrical power, generators, water reticulation, CCTV, and access control systems.
Ensuring equipment preventative maintenance to allow optimum operation of all engineering/ mechanical equipment and systems.
Assist in drafting bills of quantities and scope of works for technical tenders.
Attending to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing, rectifying faults, and recommending works for external contractors.
Supervising external contractors engaged for all technical works and projects.
Providing Snag lists for all projects to ensure successful project closures.

Attending to all queries concerning technical faults and carrying out building inspections.
Monitoring and managing the Fund’s CCTV and biometric access control systems.
Submitting equipment daily checklists and maintenance reports.

Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

– Artisan/Technician in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent.
Relevant Professional qualification is an added advantage.
At least three years of relevant experience.
A clean class 4 driver’s License is a must.
