Summary
Responsible for overseeing the production of pharmaceutical products, ensuring that they are manufactured according to quality standards and regulatory guidelines. Incumbent shall also participate in planning and organizing the manufacturing activities, controlling production processes and facilities, supervising production personnel, and assisting in the process and cleaning validations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Production planning, scheduling, and ensuring product realization.
Ensuring that lean six sigma processes are carried out in production to ensure they fall
in line with GMP guidelines as well as company policies.
Control of the manufacturing environment and enforcing cGMP compliance.
Checking correctness/completeness of batch documentation and production records.
Reviewing of production documents at prescribed intervals.
Take part in the process and clean down validations.
Assessment of in-process controls during production.

Participate in the CAPEX budgeting for the production line to ensure annual sales forecasts are met.
Coming up with the monthly Material Requirements Plan (MRP) in so doing initiating the
procurement process for Raw and Packaging Material.
Improving operational management systems and processes.
Inventory planning and overseeing starting material and finished pharmaceutical product efficiencies.
Formulating strategic and operational objectives.
Monitoring production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) thereby driving productivity and
efficiencies in all processes whilst ensuring high levels of quality and safety within
processes.
Recruiting, training, and overall supervision of production staff.

Qualifications and Experience
A first degree in Pharmacy, a postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
At least 5 years of experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing in the same capacity.
Must have good leadership qualities, communication skills as well as highly organized.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and under pressure.
