GRADUATE TRAINEES: ACCOUNTING x 2
Mutasa Rural District Council is inviting University Graduates for a two (2) year post-Graduate Traineeship in the Finance Department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
⦁ 5’0′ Level including Mathematics and English
⦁ A degree in Accounting (Class 2.1 or better) is a must
⦁ Should have completed the degree at least two (2) or fewer years ago
⦁ Proficiency in Sage Pastel and LADS and Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
⦁ Work experience in a local authority environment is an added advantage.
⦁ A clean Class 4 or 3 driver’s license is an added advantage.
⦁ No criminal record.
⦁ At least 25 years and below
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts from Council debtors.
⦁ Production of Debtors Follows up Schedules statements for debtors.
⦁ Negotiating terms and payment plans.
⦁ Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
⦁ Liaising with customers, and responding to client inquiries on debtors
⦁ Managing the debtor’s ledger.
⦁ Preparation and delivery of letters of demand and summons
⦁ Following up of debtors physically, telephonically, through emails, sms, etc.
⦁ Receipting of income revenue.
⦁ Cash book updating, Bank reconciliation, and preparation of weekly and monthly management reports.
