Job Summary

To carry out OPEN CAST lithium mining activities

Duties And Responsibilities

• Designs charging, drilling and blasting frameworks and conducts blasting operations
• Creates safe working environment for equipment and employees
• Maintains mining standards.
• Ensures good equipment handling and utilisation
• Produces production plans, shift rosters and performance reports.
• Ensures that all Safety, Health, Environmental and Production targets are achieved through leading and motivating employees
• Takes the legal responsibility for all activities under his/her control in regard to safety
• Supervises the blasting team and support machinery
• Communicates all relevant legal and operational policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and ensures that these are implemented and complied with
• Collaborates with other sections and stakeholders to compliment the operational value chain
• Manages costs to meet budget requirements

Qualifications And Experience

• Degree or Diploma from the Zimbabwe School of Mines
• Full blasting licence a must
• Mine blasting licence and 2 years experience in surface mining
• NOSA, SAMTRAC , OSHEMAC and ISO
