The Shipping and Forwarding Agents’ Association of Zimbabwe (SFAAZ) is a voluntary non-profit making organisation representing Freight Forwarders, Customs Clearing Agents, In­house Clearing Companies, Bonded Warehouse operators and some Transporters,

SFAAZ main mandate is generally to take care of the interest of its member companies. The association is a member of regional and international organisations.

SFAAZ main stakeholders span the logistics industry but ZIMRA can be particularised. The head of the SFAAZ secretariat, which runs the day to day affairs of the association, is the Chief Executive officer (CEO). A vacancy has arisen in the office of the CEO and suitable candidates are hereby requested to apply for the CEO s position as follows:

Responsibilities

• Running the day today affairs of the association.
• Ensuring financial sustainability of the association.
• Managing the secretariat and national branches,
• Co-ordinating industry activities.
• Managing all facets of the association.
• Lobbying with our various stakeholders.
• Reporting to Management Board.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree or equivalent academic/professional qualification. Higher qualification will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience in Customs and/or logistics industry a dear advantage.
• Demonstrable ability to think outside the box.
• Good interpersonal communication skills to deal with a variety of people and organisations atony level.
• No conflict of interest.
