Roles And Responsibilities
- Conduct public health inspections and food quality monitoring on trading premises and other public institutions, Solid waste management.
- Water quality monitoring on drinking water sources and ensure that water samples are collected for analysis using field techniques and lab techniques in compliance with SAZ standards,
- Disease prevention and control
- Health and hygiene promotion, Implementation, enforcement of public health legislation and crafting of relevant public health by laws,
- Building plan approvals in line with set standards, Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications And Experience
- 5 ‘O’Levels including English, Mathematics and a Science subject
- Diploma in Environmental Health
- Environmental Health Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Local Government experience and a Degree in Environmental Health is an added advantage.
