The following vacancy has arisen with TIMB and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill this position on a fixed term employment contract basis. The successful candidates will be based in Manicaland and Mashonaland Central
Vacancy : Field Officers x 3
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Technical Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following
- Grower assessment for registration approval
- Farmer training and stakeholder information dissemination
- Responsible in the recovery loans
- Monitor adherence to schedules and statutory requirements including planting dates, destruction of stalks
- Ensuring that Afforestation programs are carried out
- Geo referencing for infrastructure and field mapping data collection
- Execution and implementation of all organisational business development initiatives
- Monitor all tobacco contractors for adherence to all farmer contracting requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture
- 2-3 years working experience
- Cerficate in Tobacco Classification is an added advantage

- Clean Class 3 Driver’s Licence a must
