Vacancy : Accountant (Grade 9)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Finance Department, the job holder will be a Section Head responsible for maintaining books of accounts, supervising accounts clerks and assisting the Treasurer in implementing IPSAS.
- The ideal candidate must be mature (35 years and above), computer literate, have good leadership and communication skills and able to work under pressure with little or no supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Higher National Diploma or Degree in Accountancy from a recognised institution.
- At least 5 O Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- Knowledge of Pastel Accounting system is a must
- Previous working experience in a similar position will be an added advantage
- A clean class 4 Driver’s Licence and/ or knowledge of local authorities’ systems and previous working experience in a local authority will be an added advantage
