We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills Responsible for selling food and beverages to patrons using available and authorized payment methods. Charges items, provides change, balances drawer, and processes card transactions. The cashier will take the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers

DUTIES
Greet patrons in a professional and friendly manner and provide a hospitable environment.
Process sales transactions
Calculate the cost of products or services
Accept payments.
Calculate and return change when required by the payment method
Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change.

Answer customer questions about products or services.
Reconcile cash drawers and sale receipts
Report issues with the equipment e.g. swiping machine
Establish or identify prices of goods , services and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical price scanners
Sell tickets, liquor, food, cigarettes for the correct price
Process returns and checks if items are damaged.
Count stocks with the manager before starting daily sales and after closing stock, and record them in the Cash-up Book.

REQUIREMENTS
High school, diploma in till operating or equivalent.
Customer service or cashier experience.
Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
High level of energy with strong customer service skills.

Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
Attention to detail.
Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints
