Job Summary
Incumbent will be responsible for adherence to mining systems and practices in extraction, drilling, blasting, tramming, and hoisting. Directly supervise and coordinate activities of construction or extraction workers
Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise sectional resources and outputs.
• Adherence to mining systems and practices in ore extraction, drilling and blasting, scraping, tramming, and hoisting.
• Infrastructural development, replacement and improvement of projects in the section.
• Compliance to mining statutory regulations, safe work procedures and code of conduct.
• Budgeting and management of sectional expenditure
• Monitoring mining efficiencies in order to minimize production costs and overtime.
Qualifications And Experience
- BSc in Mining Engineering.
• 3 years post qualification in a mining environment, preferably open cast mining and underground mining.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of HSEQ management systems is mandatory.
• Mine Rescue experience and been a resident of Bindura is an added advantage.
