Duties And Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Patrol premise and check doors, gates and windows for signs of unauthorized entry.
2. Watch for irregularities (such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, lights left on, equipment malfunctions, ) and report incidents or problems to the appropriate authority or Supervisor.
3. Observe and report suspects to police, or apprehend offenders and detain them until police arrive.
4. Record movement of visitors, employees and motor vehicles as specifically required.
5. Issue security /gate passes (where applicable)and direct visitors.
6. Controls traffic where applicable.
7. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities in the Occurrence book.
8. Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
10. To constantly inspect and monitor all the security devices and equipment installed at the premise and to ensure that they are not tampered with.
