Events Coordinator/Account Manager
We’re looking for a resilient, empathetic Events Coordinator/Accounts Manager to contribute to the growth of our company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify the client’s requirements and
expectations for each event.
- Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
- Manage all social media accounts for all the events pages e.g.. Facebook. Instagram. Twitter and emails
- Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
- Manage all event set-up. tear down, and followup processes.
- Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book venues, entertainers, photographers, and
schedule speakers, trophies or award plagues.
- Research vendors (catering, decorators,
musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most
favorable terms
- Conduct final inspections on the day of the
event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards.
- Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
- Assess an event’s overall success and submit
findings.
- To assist in operations tasks when it’s deemed necessary
- Gather information on assigned clients (e.g., client needs and pricing plans)
- Contact clients to understand their requirements and work on a sales plan
- Provide after-sales support to retain customers
- Ensure prompt and accurate answers to clients’ queries
- Build strong client relationships, through regular communication
- Report on the status of accounts
- Suggest company products/services that maximize client satisfaction
- Communicate product and pricing details clearly
- Coordinate with Sales Manager to create customized sales plans for key clients.
- Promote new products/services to existing customers
- Notifying customers of unforeseen delivery delays or other complications, and facilitating suitable interventions.
- Collaborating with the sales team to identify new sales leads and develop sales plans.
- Conducting sales research and identifying new sales
opportunities
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a similar field
- Great networking skills
- Neat well-groomed appearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Tearn management and leadership skills.
- Ability to keep those costs within the allocated
budget
- Work well under pressure and commit to deadlines.
- Resourceful and emboldened by challenges
- Degree in Tourism and hospitality or related
qualification
- Social media management experience*Pro
