Mutare Polytechnic, an institution of academic excellence, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of  Laboratory Technology Lecturer  that has arisen in the institution in the APPLIED SCIENCES DEPARTMENT.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Applicants must have a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology or Applied Chemistry or Equivalent.
• Applicants must also have at least five ordinary level passes including English Language, Mathematics and Science
• A teaching qualification and relevant experience will be an added advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lecturing on a range of courses in the field of specialty that include digital learning/ E-learning
• Prepare schemes of work and maintain records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance
• Developing appropriate lecturing aids in accordance with curriculum/syllabi requirements in line with technological advancement.
• Providing guidance and counseling to students
• Assisting in the organisation and development of courses.
• Creating, promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment in lecturer halls, laboratories and workshops.
• Initiating, innovative and undertaking research to solve local problems in line with Education 5.0
• Initiative and participating in production activities in the institution.
• Engaging in the evaluation and development of modules in terms of content, delivery and assessment.
• Should be able to teach the following subjects, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
