Job Summary
Reporting to the Programs Co-Ordinator the Sexual Reproductive Health Nurse provides comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health Services with a bias towards Menstrual Health.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health education and awareness with a bias to-wards Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management.
• Plan, design and conduct MHHM training workshops
• educate and counsel adolescence and young people about sexuality, reproduction, menstrual health an hygiene, sexually transmitted diseases, and contraception
• Conduct demonstrations on hygienic practices for managing menstruation
• Provide Menstrual Health supportive counselling to MH clients
• Plan and conduct community mobilisation activities to create demand among identified target groups to motivate them to access Sexual Reproductive Health Rights services using MH as an entry point
• Supervise and work with SRH Ambassadors (CHEZI Champions)
• Build strong relationships with community based structures to create buy-in for the MHH pro-gram and increase uptake
• Maintain and update the MH database of individuals reached through MHH community out-reach activities
• Assist in the development of MHH communication materials
• Identify client health needs and refer accordingly
• Track all referred clients
• Compile and submit daily, weekly and monthly MHH reports to the Program Co-Ordinator
• Represent CHEZI at all stakeholder meetings
• Conduct any other duties assigned
Qualifications And Experience
– A registered nurse practitioner
– SRHR a distinct advantage
– Systematic Counseling Certificate/Diploma (at least 2 years proven experience working with Adolescents)
-Research experience is desirable.
