Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the above position of Internal Auditor that has arisen within Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.

The incumbent reports to the Director — Internal Audit

Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparation of audit plan and audit programme for each audit engagement

• Attending entrance and exit meetings.

• Originating audit reports by highlighting weaknesses in controls and procedures, determine exposure to risk and making practical remedial strategies for improvement and value addition to the organisation.

• Conducting audits in conformity with standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

• Carrying out risk-based audits, financial audits, operational, value for money audits.

• Evaluating systems of Internal Control, risk management and governance processes.

• Ensure that corporate governance practices such as policies, procedures and guidelines as designed by management and Public Entities regulations are adequately managed.

• Monthly spot checks on high risk areas and report on findings and recommend on controls or improvements.

• Monitoring progress of implementation of managements actions for improvement.

• Carrying out any other duties that Management may assign from time to time.

Qualifications And Experience

• Degree in Accounting/Auditing/Business Stud.

• Full ACCA / CIS

• CIA, CISA, CFE added advantages

• At least 1- 3 years experience in practical auditing

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• A self-starter

• Conversant with International Internal Auditing Standards and

• International Financial Reporting Standards.

• Assertive and well-developed presentation and communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• High level of integrity, analytical skills and professional ethics
