Job Summary
An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Finance Manager with our client, an FMCG based in Harare. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role requires an individual who is passionate, hardworking, willing to go the extra mile and face challenges head on. Adherence to strict deadlines, efficiency and quality of work are essential qualities to ensure success in this role. Our client wants a Chartered Accountant for this role.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Reviewing accounts (General Ledger, Journals, cash book and recons, etc)
• Assisting with year-end and half-year accounts
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and projections
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparing monthly reports and analysis thereof
• Understanding the risks affecting the distribution channels and assisting with the implementation of appropriate systems to mitigate these risks
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Monthly processing / reviewing draft trial balances
• Reviewing / preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing of daily payments and detailed analysis of supporting schedules
• Preparing annual financial statements and notes thereto, including accounting policies
• Assisting with the annual audit
Qualifications And Experience
• A qualified CA with 2-3 years post qualification experience
• Must have FMCG background / experience
• Good IFRS technical knowledge
• Attention to detail is key

• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
