Afrisure is looking for a dynamic multi skilled individual to join our research team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about data, has excellent analytical, report writing and communications skills as you’ll need to pull insights from the data and be able to present and explain them. An eye for detail is essential.
The successful candidate will undertake field research, gather, and analyse data and information. You will have experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Conduct extensive literature review
• Undertake fieldwork, collect and record data to the specific objectives of the study under the supervision of the project leader
• Develops or assists in the development of interview schedules; contacts potential subjects to introduce and explain study objectives and protocol, and to arrange interviews.
• Identifies and compiles lists of potential research subjects in accordance with study objectives and parameters, as appropriate to the individual position.
• Reviews and edits data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information; follows up with subjects to resolve problems or clarify data collected.
• Prepares research notes, summary, field reports, research report and prepares presentations of key findings.
Qualifications And Experience
• Candidates should have or studying towards a Masters’ Degree in Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology or any related Social Sciences
• Three to five years in a research environment.
• Proven experience in data analysis.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• A strong interest in research-related activities and a passion for development.
• Good writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced English language skills (verbal & written) with strong knowledge of local languages.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Finally, this individual must have a positive character and long-term attitude.
