An exciting 3 year training program has arisen within TIMB and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill this position

Duties And Responsibilities

Report, to the Training Officer, the successful candidates will be trained in the following

Tobacco leaf appraisal skills (classification).

Decisively dealing with all cases of improper and suspicious tobacco presentation and deliveries in consultation with Senior Classifiers or Arbitrators on the sale

Positively identifying any storage pests and symptoms of such infestation on all bales of tobacco that are offered for sale as well as during any such inspections at tobacco factories. warehouses, tobacco re-handling facilities and during farm inspections to ensure separation of pest infested tobacco from the rest.

Collection and collation of data on the sale and during any inspections or investigations for purposes of producing reports for overall tobacco sales statistics and future planning.

Any other duties as guided by the team leaders.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications and other requirements

A minimum qualification of an Agriculture Diploma from a recognised institution.

Must be 30 years and below

A highly organized. task oriented and analytical character with impeccable inter-personal communication skills;

Ability to follow instructions:
