JOB DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited from suitable qualified mature and experienced persons for the position of Country Managing Director based in Harare for a leading service provider of mining, construction, road building and agricultural equipment, with a large footprint in Zimbabwe and across the continent. It is involved in the sale and rental of equipment and spare parts servicing a growing client base. Travel required in the country and the sub-region.

Key Result Areas:

• Assume responsibility for the subsidiary and its results
• Grow revenue and develop customer relationship in every market segments
• Ensure customer satisfaction both technically and commercially
• Lead teams and ensure development of focal skills
• Reach or exceed financial targets set by the group : revenue, profitability, cash-flow
• Work constructively with all functions at head office and other countries
• Warrant the good management of the subsidiary, the achievement of the budget and the strict compliance to the group rules and procedures (technical, financial and H&S).
• Represent the group with the local authorities

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in managerial/executive position in either commercial, operations or technical responsibilities
• Relevant Degree
• Exposure to heavy equipment (Cat, Komatsu etc) and mandatory experience in Africa
• Recognised entrepreneurial spirit, taste for action and human relations, capacity to adapt  quickly, management skills, positive attitude and strive to win to face the daily challenges of the subsidiary as well as ensuring medium term and long term development
• Good practice of English |
