Job Purpose
Performing duties for pumping of raw water to the treatment plant and ensuring portable water reaches consumers
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring water distribution by checking tank levels
- Reporting breakdown of pumps and motors
- Coordinating pumping levels
- Monitoring equipment to avoid break downs
- Cleaning of pump house
- Cleaning the surroundings for pumping station
- A clean driver’s licence would be an added advantage
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 O Levels
- A certificate in Water and Sanitation or a relevant certificate in operation of pumping stations
- Certificate in Water and Waste Water Management
- Previous knowledge of waterworks is an added advantage
- Prepared to work in shifts
- Physically Fit
- At least a year previous experience performing similar duties
- A Clean Class 4 Drivers licence would be an added advantage
